Stay Tuned. . .

So, so much has been going on at this little place here the last two months.  In one way, I can't believe I haven't posted anything since the beginning of September, but yet, that would have required sitting down at the computer and I've barely sat down let alone sat down at the computer!  And we finally got a new computer to replace our old laptop that has had numerous ailments that come and go and come again for several years now.  So learning my way around the new computer too--like how/where to download and store pictures to it.

Maybe in a few weeks I can get back to regularly posting.  There's so much to talk about!  And show in pictures (after I sit down at the computer long enough to figure out the picture thing on this much newer--not running on Windows 7 anymore--system!)  Once Buck (grandbaby #5) is born, I won't be doing babysitting duty with Faline twice a week until after her mama's maternity leave ends.  So I should find myself with a lot more time on my hands around the beginning of November.

In the meanwhile, you can be teased by knowing there will be posts on these topics:

  • knitting
  • quilting (a new baby quilt!  And maybe even another new one after that.)
  • horseback riding
  • gardening
  • my experiment with growing canna lilies from seed
  • DH gets a promotion and a shop
  • building projects in my (horse) barn
  • my thoughts on life at 50
  • relocating an asparagus bed
  • cooking
  • frugal living
  • what the replacement for my trusty rusty Suburban will be when it is retired at 300,00 miles (less than 7500 to go!)

Hope to be back in the blogging groove soon.  I just need to survive the next few weeks first, including having Faline multiple days & nights in a row when her brother is born and her parents are busy at the hospital doing that.  She's almost two, smart as a whip, stubborn as a mule (aka her grandma),  runs like the Energizer bunny and has entered a phase where she doesn't believe she needs to sleep. I swear, I have so many deja vu moments with her.  Not like "oh I remember her mother doing this at this age". Nope, more like "holy crap, I'm pretty sure I just saw my own self at this age" kind of deja vu.
